In a culture that rarely throws fanfare light on other players in a football pitch except the once occupying offensive positions, Michael Carrick’s latest ‘quiet’ extension of his stay at Man United is no surprise.

The 31 year old English winger of Manchester United, Ashley Young has stated on various occasions his desire to become a regular starter for any club and it does not seem like it´s going to happen if he continues his performing with the English Premier League club Manchester United.

The 2016-17 season of the top tier English League has reached it´s end and Ashley Young had to settle with 12 appearances with only 8 of those coming off as an actual starter.

Back on April of the ongoing year, Ashley Young had a few things to say concerning his future as well as his current situation in Old Trafford as the English winger said:

“I am looking to play as many games as I can between now and the end of the season. That is what I am concentrating on now. That is the main focus for me and then we will see what happens´´

“I have fire and hunger in my belly. I want to succeed. I work hard. Manchester United have suffered a major blow with the news that midfielder Ashley Young will be missing the rest of the season with a hamstring injury.

Even though the former Aston Villa star has been a bit part player this season, his presence would have been crucial in the final few matches of the season. United have purely focused on the Europa League in the last few weeks, but manager Jose Mourinho is not without his problems even when it comes to winning this competition. United take on Ajax in the final of the competition on May 24. Success in this competition will give United access to the Champions League group stages next season.

Young came extremely close to leaving the club during the January transfer window, but mounting injuries meant that Jose Mourinho kept him out of the club. Ashley Young says that he is not concentrating on his future plans right now.

The winger was heavily linked with an exit from Manchester United during the January transfer window. It is believed that he received several offers from Chinese football in order to make the switch. He would have been able to get a three-year contract from the Chinese clubs and it was reportedly worth around £ 15 million. Even though he is similar wage per season at United, the Red Devils may not keep him around for long. José Mourinho has used the former Aston Villa midfielder sparingly, as the club are extremely strong in the midfield positions.

Ashley Young has finally opened up on the transfer rumours linking him with a more from Manchester United.

The former Aston Villa star lost his place in the United first team ever since Sir Alex Ferguson left the club in 2013. He has never been able to regain his spot, as several managerial changes have taken place since then. At 31 years of age, it was becoming increasingly clear that Jose Mourinho would not favour Ashley Young going forward. It was not surprising that the 31-year-old started playing regular football over the last few months. Speculation was rife that he may be even set for a move in the January transfer window.

It was not to be, but there has always been transfer interest surrounding the former Watford star. Even during the end of February, there was speculation that a Chinese clubs would be coming in for the winger. You may go to world class restaurants and have the most delicious of the food items, but, still, none of them can match your favorite dish that your mother cooks for you at home.

However, for Footballers or for professionals of any field working out of their home towns, that’s something they don’t often get to have and most of the time, they have to rely on the readymade food items or have to work in the kitchen themselves.

That’s not a problem for Ashley Young though as his mother, despite living more than three hundred kilometres away from him, still makes sure that he is not deprived of the home-made dishes as she gets those dishes to reach him through courier every week.

Young’s parents actually belong to a Caribbean country. So, as a kid, most of the dishes that Young used to have were Caribbean only and those dishes then became his favourite as he was growing up.Continue reading
