Inter Milan right-back Ashley Young is reportedly nearing an exit from the club and is already a transfer target to a couple of clubs across Europe, in China, and in the Major League Soccer. The former England and Manchester United star has continued to fall further down the pecking order at the club especially with Achraf Hakimi not looking like he will be slowing down anytime soon.

Hakimi completed a permanent transfer from Real Madrid last summer and has cemented himself as Inter Milan’s first-choice right-back since his permanent move, making it very difficult for Young to find his way to the first-team. Inter Milan manager Antonio Conte has reportedly given a clear hint that he will not be trusting defender Ashley Young for the long-term and is already creating a list of potential candidates that will replace the veteran defender when his time at Inter finally comes to an end. Young has been a great signing for Conte since he moved to Italy from English Premier League giants Manchester United but with age no longer on his side, his exit from the club is becoming more increasingly likely.

One of the players that Conte has identified as the defender’s replacement is Sampdoria’s outstanding full-back Tommaso Aguello. The defender only joined Sampdoria last summer but it is looking like he will not be spending so much time at the club, given how difficult it might be for Sampdoria to resist the approach of a club as big as Inter Milan.

However, the former Manchester United forward was unable to convert from the spot. Just a few minutes later, it was Sampdoria’s turn to be awarded the penalty but they took the chance through Antonio Candreva.

The goal seemed to change the course of the match as Inter were under a lot of pressure to get the result that would keep them in touch with the likes of AC Milan at the top of the table. As Inter pushed forward to get the equaliser,Keita Balde Diao came up with the goal that turned out to be the winner. A header from Stefan de Vrij provided hope for Inter but they were unable to get anything out of the match. The lack of Romelu Lukaku was a major blow for the team. The second scorer in the division has been able to get 12 goals for Inter so far. However, he was missing due to a muscle issue.Continue reading
