Aston Villa defender Ashley Young says that the club will be quite happy about the performance in the loss against Liverpool. Aston Villa are getting back to action after a gap of six weeks with a majority of the players at the club due to their lack of involvement at the World Cup. Morgan Sanson’s Aston Villa nightmare could soon be over with Turkish giants Besiktas in talks to sign Steven Gerrard’s Premier League misfit, as reported by Takvim. Turkey’s Super Lig has become something of a regular landing spot for English-based talent in need of a fresh start in recent seasons. And just a couple of weeks after Trezeguet left Villa for Trabzonspor, Sanson could also be following in the footsteps of Mesut Ozil, Wout Weghorst Alex Runarsson and co.

According to reports, Sanson emerged as target for 2021 champions Besiktas after veteran midfielder Josef de Souza was struck down with injury and a deal for German international Nadiem Amiri fell by the wayside.  The Istanbul-based outfit want to sign Sanson on loan, with an option-to-buy.
