England international Ashley Young has been left unimpressed by Manchester United’s season and believes there is plenty of room for improvement prior to the 2018/19 campaign. Manchester United ace Ashley Young has said that he remains a winger by trade despite featuring regularly for the Red Devils in the left-back spot this term. Under the guidance of Jose Mourinho, the 32-year-old has managed to own the makeshift position, and his performances have also been noticed by England manager Gareth Southgate.

England international Ashley Young believes Manchester United are well equipped to win the Champions League after making the knockout stage of the elite competition for the first time since the 2013/14 season. The Red Devils face-off against Sevilla in a two-legged round of 16 tie between February and March.
In an interview covered by Sky Sports, Young remains optimistic about the club’s chances of repeating their Champions League feat from 1999 and 2008, he said: “Of course (we can win the Champions League). You don’t enter a competition not to win it. That’s what we will be looking to do and take each game as it comes. The next one is against Sevilla. That’s a tough away game like Huddersfield, like Newcastle away. That’s what the stadium is like. We just have to concentrate on ourselves.”

Ashley Young not pleased with his three-game suspension
Manchester United ace Ashley Young is not pleased with his three-match retrospective ban for his elbow on Southampton’s Dusan Tadic. The England international was awarded the suspension following the goalless draw last weekend where he was spotted elbowing Tadic in the stomach.
Initially, referee Craig Dawson could not spot the incident but it still came under review following repeated slow motion replays from BT Sport, which has not gone well with the veteran. The 32-year-old has since missed United’s 2-0 league win over Everton, and he is set to do the same for the games versus Derby County and Stoke City in the FA Cup and Premier League respectively.

UNITED TO COMPLETE PERISIC SIGNING SOON
Manchester United are set to complete the signing of Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan in the next few days, reports in England say. The transfer price for the player has been the main reason delaying the deal – Inter want £48 million for the player but United want to offer significantly less for the 28-year old winger.
Inter also reportedly asked Manchester United about its forward Anthony Martial. The Serie A side are looking at the possibility that the struggling Red Devils France international would move to Italy.Continue reading
