Former Manchester United defender Ashley Young recently sealed a return to English football after re-joining Watford, one of the former clubs he played for before sealing his big move to Old Trafford a lot of years ago. The former England international star was initially signed as a winger by former United manager Sir Alex Ferguson but he was gradually converted to a defender after spending some years at the club. Young was a decent attacker during the early years of his career and also played for Aston Villa but with United having a lot of attackers in their team, he had to settle for a different role just so he could continue playing games.
After the title-winning campaign with Inter, Young received an offer from Watford to sign for them and he accepted the deal, insisting that it was an opportunity he had to accept. He eventually completed his Watford move but what will he bring to the club? He’s not a stranger at Vicarage Road but things have changed quite a lot since the last time he played for the club.
It is not yet clear if he will continue playing in the right-back position he has played during the latter stages of his career or he will be reinstated to the attacking position he started his career with, but he would be looking forward to helping the team the best way he can either way.
